2011 Basketball Officials Camp June 10th - 12th, (Friday evening - Sunday Afternoon) Sisters High School $175 per official and $150 for returning campers! $25 Discount if you register before May 1st! SPACE IS LIMITED - REGISTER EARLY!! Champion Sports Camps is dedicated to providing its participants with the ultimate sports camp experience. This year we are excited to offer the 7th Annual 2011 Basketball Officials’ Camp. We have several NCAA and NAIA referees that will serve as evaluators and classroom instructors. Whether you are looking to advance to the next level or just hone your skills, this camp is for you. Camp will take place at Sisters High School in beautiful Sisters, Oregon and be held June 10 -12, 2011. Camp participants will officiate a minimum of two evaluated games everyday, ending with classroom time with their evaluator. Camp Highlights Friday Night camp introduction with camp staff and on-court demonstration Classroom Instruction with crew evaluator after every game · Minimum of 4 evaluated games · Two and Three person crews · Variety of nearby recreational activities to add to your experience. Some of This Year's Staff Paul Cooley - 35 years of basketball officiating experience (33 in college); 15 years NCAA. Currently officiates and the GNAC and Pac West. Paul has officiated in the junior college nationals, the AAU National Finals and 1984 Olympic Team exhibition game. Paul has been assigning college basketball for nine years and currently assigns the Cascade, Northwest and NWAAC East Conferences. PAT COOK – 25 years of basketball officiating experience. 21 years of college level and above. 4 years in the CBA and 4 years with the NBA summer league. DAVID GONZALES – 13 years of basketball officiating experience. David has a plethora of professional basketball experience working for the CBA, IBL, LA Pro-AM and National Pro-AM. He has also worked NCAA Division I, II, and III. GUEST SPEAKER AL MOBERG – 38 years of experience (22 years in the Pac 10 and West Coast Conference). Alternate official in the 1984 NCAA Division I Western Regionals; NIT tournament; and Pac-10 and WCC post-season tournaments. Multiple OSAA tournaments. Coordinator of Officials for Tri-States IBO assigning the Cascade and Northwest conference for three years and is in his 11th year assigning the NWAAC South; also serves as a game operations observer for the NBA for the past six years. Sisters High School has been moved to a brand new building as of fall of 2003 as is equipped with two state of the art gyms. The previous high school (now the new middle school) was built just 11 years ago and also has great gym and facilities. Both of these facilities are within walking distance of each other and will provide the best officials camp possible.
